im on a legal 2000 in las vegas. girf friend called saying i wastaking drugs trying to kill myself. i was just getting high dont normally do it was just stressed. didnt resist been here over 50 hours now and nothing has happened. my dad says they can only hold me 72 hours? i am off iv now some im medically cleared have to wait over weekend? havent talked to a shrink yet … whats the deal i have no history of mental heath issues.
i know im saying if after 72 nothing happens then what?

Sounds like your girlfriend was frightened that you were going to kill yourself and you can be committed for 72 hours until they evaluate you to make sure that you are no harm to yourself or others. I know it is not pleasant, but that’s the law. God Bless
