when it is winter time or not I feel that my cheeks are really cold. I always have have a scarf on to not feel it. It is a burning cold. I would like to know what to do so that they are not cold anymore. i already went to the doctor and the doctor for the face nothing helped.

May look strange, but when dealing with the cold weather, I think it is OK.
If you don’t need to talk to someone, a one hole winter ski mask. There are even military style ones and high grade ones in sporting goods stores. If you need it open at your mouth, get a two or three hole version. They are available for $ 4 on the internet. Much better than a scarf, and can be worn with one for those really frigid days.
or, move to San Diego, CA or even Las Vegas where I am. (-: (mostly kidding)

I get colds ALL the time. They usually start at the begging of fall (around this time) and they come and go for long periods until late spring. Its mostly a runny nose and sometimes a sore throat. I take an ibuprofen when i get the colds and they usually last a week. They are really annoying because i am constantly blowing my nose and it makes me hard to do sports like running and swimming because i need to breath through my nose. Please help with any suggestions. thanks!

Weak immune system? Buff it up by taking Vitamin C supplements or just by drinking orange juice daily!

Okay for example I am exercising and playing basketball but my right arm is freezing cold. It feels like I just put Ice on it and it wont heat up. It still moves fine its just really cold. What is wrong with my arm, is it circulation, bad blood flow, and is there anything I can do to make it better?

pain on my calf when is cold?

this is really hard to explain but i`ll try my best,
a little about me first
i have lived in Denver colorado pretty much all my life i moved to AZ about almost 3 years ago lived there for a year and a half and moved back to denver now my first winter here went well but then i moved to a house and i got the basement and it was cold cold anyways heres when things get interesting.
at nights my room would get really cold and one night (first time this happened) my leg got stiff and cold i moved my foot up and my calf muscle felt like it would rip in two this pain woke me up and kept me up for a little while if i didnt move my foot the pain would slowly go away but it would happen again if i moved it i started to sleep with socks and it helped but i forgot to a few nights that winter and i think it happen like 3 more times and tonight again, my muscle is still bothering me from tonight and i just cant figure it out, any ideas this only happen at nights and when is cold, thanks
i am just 18 this started when i was 17 well first time it happen, i eat fruits almost everyday bananas are my favorite i take ones source teens pills when i remember, i work in a restaurant but i weight 165 and i`m 6 feet tall so not out of shape, if i dont move at all the pain goes away but if i move or try to stretch the pain is just horrible and like i said it only happens when is really cold and in one leg only

Depending how old you are it could just be a little arthritis. Maybe try eating a banana every day or take a potassium supplement. Go to the webmd web site and use the symptom finder dodad they have.

Just moved to San Diego and I hear the Santa Ana winds are causing my problems. I’ve had these headaches every other day for about a month and a half. I’ve been to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics twice but I don’t think it’s an infection. I have bad headaches. I take Claritin D and take advil. Any other suggestions to do with this?

Try Astlin (prescription only) nasal spray. It is an antihistamine nasal spray with decongestant properties that works like a charm. Only down side is it tastes awful if you get it in your mouth.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it can get to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I recently got a new job working outdoors. Our jobs supplies us a lot of cold water. I probably drink about 9 to 12 cups of ice water at work a day. I have been working there for a month and I just got a sore throat and my voice sounds a little funny. My co workers say that the reason I am sick is because I have been drinking too much cold water and that my body is not use to the cold water. Is my soar throat caused by the frequent cold water that I have been suddenly drinking?

To soar means to glide or sail through the air. I don’t think your throat is doing that. (Smile) You mean sore.

Cold water never caused a sore throat. And the reason your coworkers gave you is ludicrous. You probably have a virus. Stay home if you can, rest your voice, don’t pass it on to anyone else.

I have a cold sore and I’m going to a hot slings tomorrow with my friends. it’s winter in Colorado.. but I’ve done this before. will the salt in the water infect my cold sore?

No, it will not. What you need to be careful of is making sure you wash your hands after you touch the cold sore as the virus is spread by skin to skin contact.
