I would recommend checking with eHealthInsurance.com

They may have a plan that you can find for super cheap but will give you good coverage in case of a medical emergency too.

Fairfax County Teacher Receives Super Teacher Award

Megan Beatty Gaeta, a special education teacher at Robinson Secondary in Fairfax has been selected as one of eight educators statewide to receive the 2012 Virginia Lottery Super Teacher Award. Megan Beatty Gaeta was awarded today in a surprise presentation at the school in front of students, faculty, and special guests. The award, sponsored by the Virginia Lottery, the Virginia PTA and Virginia-based The Supply Room Companies, consists of a cash prize of 00 and an additional 00 classroom credit from The Supply Room Companies. In addition to the wonderful classroom supplies and cash prizes, this year, all eight winning Super Teacher schools will receive a dynamic Science Museum of Virginia educational experience to be fulfilled during the 2012-2013 school year! The Lottery received more nearly 1200 Super Teacher nominations statewide and more than 100 in the northern Virginia area. Megan Beatty Gaeta is the fifth of eight public school teachers to receive the Super Teacher Award for 2012. Three more surprise presentations will occur this spring, and each winner represents one of eight geographic regions of the state. Gregg Komitsky, Megan’s supervisor, nominated Megan because of her success with “her ongoing classroom project, Packaged With Care (PWC).” In his nomination essay, Gregg Komitsky also praises her ability to teach students and help those in need.
